WHY NEBULISE?

Inhalation with Flexineb® is an alternative and/or complementary method for oral or intravenous administration of medication. But not only medicines, saline solution and, among other things, homeopathic preparations can also be nebulized. 

WHAT OTHER BENEFITS DOES NEBULISING HAVE TO OFFER?

No loss of active ingredient – the active ingredient gets directly to where it is supposed to go – the lungs. This means that drugs do not have to take a diversion via the digestive tract / the circulatory system (which can lead to undesirable side effects under certain circumstances). 

Inhalation can be carried out quickly and easily on your own. This gives you the advantage of being able to treat your horse easily and without external help if necessary.

If you do not (have to) nebulise medication, but would like to inhale your horse preventively, an inhaler offers the possibility of bringing the special climate of “salty sea air” into the stable, which can have a positive effect on the respiratory tract and promotes the removal of mucous.

MOBILITY

Our Flexineb® inhaler for horses is a mobile, battery-powered inhaler without tubes. This gives you the possibility to inhale almost everywhere. Furthermore, it is possible to treat the horse in motion (e.g. when lunging, trotting) if the horse is relaxed and these types of application can be carried out without problems (please consult your vet, e.g. in case of acute respiratory distress no animal should be moved during the therapy). How well the horse breathes away the inhalant can be observed through the transparent aerosol chamber.

Low noise

The Flexineb® works almost silently. This minimises frightening of the horse when starting up.
 

Piezo Effect Technology

The Flexineb® works via the so-called piezo effect. Here, the liquid to be inhaled is mechanically sieved through a vibrating membrane (similar to icing sugar, which is atomised through a sieve / icing sugar can). This produces the fine mist with an optimal particle yield, which in the best case can reach the smallest areas of the lungs to take effect there (71% of the misted particles have a particle size of less than 5my, 39% between 2 and 5my, 23.75% between 1 and 2my).

ENABLES THE USE OF MORE TYPES OF MEDICATION

This piezo technology can now be used to nebulise numerous medications and preparations that were previously considered non-nebulisable.

FLEXIBLE MASK MATERIAL FOR ADDITIONAL COMFORT

DThe mask body consists of flexible plastic and can be easily and painlessly pulled over the nostrils. It then adapts perfectly to the horse’s head without any pressure.

VARIOUS COLOURS AND SIZES

The Flexineb® is available in 3 different colours (blue, green and pink) and fits every horse’s head. There is a suitable size for every type of horse, foals, miniature breeds and draft horses included.

SIMPLE OPERATION AND EASY CLEANING

To make handling and cleaning as easy and quick as possible, the Flexineb® consists of expandable elements that are easy to take apart.
